"Rob's songs, the way he sings them and the way this band interperts them... it all adds up to magic! When The ROB CANNILLO AND FRIENDS BAND is playing, I am there!
I listened with pleasure to Rob Cannillo and Friends' CD WHAT LIFE CAN BE a follow up to THE LONG ROAD HOME. WHAT LIFE CAN BE is a candid, joyous, optimistic, gutty CD with excellent compositons.
Every so often I'll hear a singer/songwriter for the first time and immediately purchase the CD. That's just how it was when I heard Rob Cannillo performing at a trendy little place called The Grind.
A hush spread throughout the place as Rob and Friends began to play, proving once again that exceptional music produced by fine musicians can be found in the most unlikely places.
Ignoring the well meaning advice of fellow musicians, friends and family to "play songs that people know", Rob plays his gritty sounding original songs anywhere he can.
It his his original songs that touch the lives of so many who thank him for his crusade in the fight against cancer.
All of Rob's info in one neat location!
"What a great CD. You have a couple of tunes that I consider
worthy of comparison to Springsteen. And the 2 covers were simply superb. Your vocals and the band (some great support and some great licks) made my trip a very enjoyable ride. And the two versions of "God Will" (my favorite song on the CD) were terrific. You really captured some great music on the CD. Nice work!!"

Rob's songs are for everyone! They are as original as they are part of the canon of American balladry. Look for his website. Look for his shows in the Northeast US in Summer 2009, alone and with the rob and friends group. Simple soulful truthful music for anybody and everybody!
